Spirited Art’s new location opens

By Moira Blazi

Spirited Art opened their new studio and classroom space on Monday May 14 at 110 E 6th St in downtown Libby.
Owner and teacher Kristen Moniz-Martens was on hand to welcome new and old art lovers. “What we are trying to do,” she told the Montanian, “is to use this place to support the community as much as possible.”
To that end, Moniz-Martens and her assistant Nicolle Young-Couvillion are making space in their beautiful new studio for local crafts and products chosen to enhance the creative process. Pink Zebra Scents, Gypsy Rose soaps, Hava Java and Camp Creek coffee grace the studio, and, they are even offering some cold, fresh brewed beer from Cabinet Mountain brewery gratis for those art students who wish to indulge.
Classes in the new studio started on Tuesday May 14, and they usually run about 20 people, Moniz-Martinez said. They offer a whole morning or afternoon class, and the students leave with a finished piece of art that they have created.
Moniz-Martens welcomes any local business to participate and will be featuring a business of the month as well as birthday of the month for her students. For more info, call Spirited Arts at (406) 291-2345 or visit SpiritedArtClassesMT on Facebook.
