Turner Mountain receives $427 from brewery fundraising

Right: Bruce Zwang and Steve Bryant receive a check for $427 from Kristin Smith on Wednesday evening at the Cabinet Mountain Brewery.

The brewery hosted their Brews for Benefits program on Thursday nights throughout the month of January in support of Turner Mountain.

“We really appreciate that the brewery supports Turner Mountain in a big way. They’ve done this every year,” said Bruce Zwang, president of the board for Turner Mountain. The money will be used for their equipment fund and to purchase supplies for ski patrol which is all volunteer, Zwang told The Montanian.

Turner Mountain is open Friday through Sunday while snow and temperatures permit throughout the winter. Check out their Facebook page or visit their website at skiturner.com for more up to date information.

Customer appreciation day at Turner Mountain is Monday, Feb. 18 which is also President’s Day so there is no school. Kids 18 and under get a free lift ticket and adults are only $20 with a voucher. Vouchers are available at The Montanian office and numerous other locations in Libby and Troy.

In February, cabinet mountain brewery will hold their brews for benefits fundraiser in support of the Lincoln County SnoKat Club. $1 from every beer sold between 6 and 8 p.m. will be donated to support the cause.
