Always smiling, chainsaw carving artist, Bongo from Africa is very happy about this years event. He stated that last year was good, but with the extra day this year, it is very good and much better. When asked by this reporter where his inspiration came from for this particular piece, an African elephant, Bongo said, “Everybody likes doing bears and eagles, so elephants and other animals from my home country are different. I really enjoy seeing lots of the other folks that are competitors at these international competitions when our plans work out.” Photo by Brian Baxter, The Montanian.
