Forest open house,

March 6

The Kootenai National Forest will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, March 6 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the supervisor’s office to gather information from the public about the Hoodoo Wildfire Resiliency Project. The supervisor’s office is located at 31374 US highway 2 in Libby.

 

Brews for Benefits, March 7

Come support Kootenai Pets for Life on Thursday, March 7 from 6 until 8 p.m. $1 from every beer sold at Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company will be donated to support KPFL.

Wednesday, March 6 will mark the first day of Lent for many Christians.

Rotary beer and wine tasting, March 8

The Rotary Club of Kootenai Valley has changed up their annual wine tasting event this year.  Now, it will include beer!  Purchase your tickets at the Libby Chamber of Commerce office or the Venture Inn, then come on out to the Memorial Center on Friday, March 8 from 6 until 11 p.m. to check out the wine, beer and new format of their annual fundraising event.

Free movie Fridays, March 8

On Friday, March 8, the Libby  Library will host a free movie night. Free movies will be played every week on Friday at 3 p.m. Popcorn will be provided by the Libby Friends of the Library.

Bunco, March 8

Head down to the VFW in Libby on Friday, March 8 for a fun filled evening of dice and smiles from 7 until 9 p.m. There is a $5 buy in.

 

Irish festival craft show, March 9

The Irish Festival will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m at the Asa Wood Elementary School gym in Libby. The event will be hosted by Angel Ford and Juanita Shikora. Vendors are still needed, so if you are interested in an Irish festival booth, contact Juanita on Facebook.

Everyone is invited to join the book discussion group at Cabinet Mountain Brewery on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m.

The book to be discussed is “Where the Crawdads Sing”  by Dela Owens.

 

 

Oyster/Chili feed,

March 9

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows will host an oyster/ chili feed on Saturday, March 9 at 5 p.m. The cost of this event is $5 per person.

The event will be held at 4 street Libby, behind the American Legion. For any questions call Cathy Ness at 291-8983.

Forward, March 10

Daylight savings time starts on Sunday, March 10 at 2 a.m. Don’t forget to turn your clocks one hour forward to 3 a.m. or just do it before you go to bed so you aren’t an hour late for work on Monday.

There will be an informational meeting about this year’s the Farmers Market at Libby on Sunday, March 10 from 3 until 4 p.m. at the Cabinet Mountain Brewery.

Anyone interested in being a vendor, volunteer or just an attendee is encouraged to attend.

There will be safety meeting on  Tuesday, March 12 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the county commissioners’ office. Located in The Lincoln County Court House.
