Skating and bonfire in Troy

About forty people were out on Sunday to enjoy the new skating rink in Troy’s Roosevelt Park. A community bonfire was held to burn Christmas trees and to roast hot dogs . The ice was too soft to skate because of the warmer weather, but that didn’t stop a group of kids from playing boot hockey in the slush. The rink will remain open to the public all winter, weather permitting, and there are donated ice skates that can be borrowed for those who don’t own any.
