Trail season has begun

The Yaak Valley Forest Council’s (YVFC) Field Crew started their field season in the beginning of June. The YVFC Field Crew has cleared over ten miles of trail so far this year on the Black Tail Trail in the Yaak Valley. The Black Tail Trail is a road to trail restoration project with successful collaborative work with the U.S. Forest Service, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, YVFC, and other local agencies on the Kootenai National Forest. The YVFC field crew works on multiple projects across the forest to connect, restore, and protect the Yaak Valley and surrounding communities.
