A large crowd takes advantage of the free products and services at the stand-down.

The multi-state veterans stand-down was held last Saturday and Sunday at the Asa Wood school in Libby. Over 100 veterans waited in the rain on Saturday morning for the doors to open. Available, were jackets, thermal wear, boots, snow pants, packs, socks, and even mess kits and canteens. Many local and state health and veterans service organizations set up tables as well, and free haircuts were offered. A hot meal featuring baked ham was served.
