Monday, Nov. 18

1:01 p.m. A woman reported having experienced a “strange encounter” with an unknown male.  It was neither a podcast nor reality TV, and she hadn’t seen Stranger Things before.

5:33 p.m. A woman reported hearing a child talking outside her house. Her lips were zipped about past experiences with silent children, but we all know it’s the quiet ones you’ve got to watch.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

12:36 a.m. A Libby resident called to report neighbors talking and moving furniture such as couches and box springs outside from the residence. It really was no reason to have a cow, they were probably moo-ving.

7:15 p.m. A caller reported seeing his neighbor’s cat looking sad. We hate to let the cat out of the bag, but cats are kind of known for that.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

8:31 p.m. A man reported picking up two hitchhikers who he could not get to leave his vehicle after driving to their destination. While he was making the call, awkwardness hung in the air in much the same way that bricks don’t (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) but getting them to leave the vehicle was still like banging his head on a brick wall.

9:10 p.m. A caller reported someone outside his gate with a flashlight. Not to make light of the situation, but in light of the situation but with having so few details, finding the person was clearly a shot in the dark.

Thursday, Nov. 21

7:43 a.m. A caller reported hearing someone making fake animal noises outside all night long. The lion’s share of the problem was that the noises were getting his goat and he didn’t want the offender to weasel out of getting caught. Too bad it was probably a wild goose chase for officers.

3:05 p.m. A male reported an advertisement sign appearing at the end of his property. At least it was clear who to blame.
