  7. Covey, Joshua Aaron, 30; arrested May 30, 2018. Charged with eluding, criminal mischief and felony burglary. Lincoln County, $100,000.

Charged with two counts of improper/ no license plates, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer, operating vehicle without insurance and suspended drivers license.   13. Mitchell, Kevin Ray, 30; arrested March 16, 2018. Charged with theft from buildings, burglary of a non-residence, two counts of obstructing justice, all felonies. Lincoln County, $60,000.

Tuesday, July 17

 

12:48 p.m. A woman reported a man in his early 50s who she thought was staring at her children at the park. He did not speak.

 

1:52 p.m. Someone called 911 for an injured bighorn sheep on Kootenai River Rd. The sheep had to be dispatched.

2:41 p.m. A woman on Pinewood called 911 to report her neighbor’s puppy in her car. The furtunately the paws-ibility of disaster was  curtailed when the neighbor removed the puppy while she was still on the phone with dispatch.

 

Friday, July 20

 

10:55 a.m. Someone on Bull Lake Rd. woke up feeling really hot. The fire department arrived at the scene of a mattress fire to find the bedroom smoking. They  had gotten it wet so no one got burned.

 

12:39 p.m. Someone called to report a lost tailgate somewhere in Lincoln County. The tailgate had a business name and a permanent license plate attached.

 

4:08 p.m. A tree across the road was reported to be tangled in powerlines. Flathead Electric responded and reported that they were phone lines instead.  The news was met with poor reception.

 

10:29 p.m. Someone on 5th Street Extension was setting off fireworks. They couldn’t extinguish their enthusiasm for the 4th of July but because of high fire danger neighbors were blazing mad. Four people reported it and a warning was delivered.

 

Saturday, July 21

 

11:45 a.m. A man on Hwy. 2 called 911 to report that he arrived home to find someone possibly showing his residence to be sold.  The woman had taken other people through too and left the door open. Her open house was his in deed.

1:19 p.m. A horse was running loose near the state line. The grass must have looked greener in Idaho or maybe it was a spur of the moment decision.

 

7:00 p.m. Squatters were reported at the gold panning area. The caller wanted a copper to respond but it didn’t pan out. Dispatch forwarded the complaint to the forest service instead.

 

7:43 p.m. An unlit cigarette was reported wedged into a tree near Parmenter Creek. The reporting person tried to figure out why it was there but he was stumped.

 

9:12 p.m. A woman staying in a local hotel called 911 to report sketchy people in front of her door. They were not doing anything but making her nervous.

 

11:33 p.m. Someone called to report a large fireball coming from the sky.

 

Sunday, July 22

 

8:35 p.m. A woman on 2nd Street called 911. She sounded drunk and was yelling at someone. She called back and wanted a man removed from her residence but she refused to disclose her location. When dispatch called back the man informed them that she’d gone to her mothers.
