Wednesday, Jan. 17
8:22 a.m. A woman on Kootenai River Rd. report-ed that a deer hit her. The deer died so didn’t mind taking the blame.
10:09 a.m. Someone called 911 to report a male struck by a light blue pickup truck on Balsam St. It was not the pedestrian’s fault.
4:50 p.m. Someone Woodland Rd. called the Sheriff’s office to report their son being drunk and laying on the floor. They did not need an ambu-lance.
5:17 p.m. Someone called from a separate address on Woodland Rd. about their son being passed out drunk. An am-bulance was requested this time.
6:20 p.m. A deer was reported in Hwy. 2 in front of Big Sky Lumber. It was hit by a vehicle but gained equilibrium and ran off.
9:58 p.m. Someone reported having their tires slashed while they were parked at a fast food res-taurant.

2:46 p.m. A black and white husky at large was weaving in and out of traf-fic on Farm to Market.
