Friday, Feb. 23

9:33 p.m. Two males with large backpacks were walking down Education Way which is not illegal by the way but officers were unable to locate them anyway.

10:36 p.m. A woman called 911 requesting law enforcement to dispatch a deer that had been hanging around her house. It had sparse fur and appeared to be suffering. The deer was mobile, able to eat and had a fawn with it. The woman became agitated and hung up on the officer when told it may be out of their control.

Saturday, Feb. 24

10:09 a.m. A man with a red Dodge pickup and a plow was reported running dogs up the road for about two months. This seemed unsafe to the caller.

12:52 p.m. Someone was running over a sign at a Troy church.

Monday, Feb. 26

1:12 p.m. Someone on Hwy 2 reported the theft of his mailbox sometime the day before.

4:12 p.m. Woodcutters were dropping trees in Hwy. 2. Officers responded but were stumped, they had made like a chainsaw and split.

8:00 p.m. A suspicious woman was reported walking in her bathrobe on Parmenter.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

3:16 p.m. Woodcutters were reported on private property by the railroad. They weren’t being illegal. Why do woodcutters always get the short end of the stick?

10:07 p.m. Officers had to advise a man that he is not to be walking in the middle of the road.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

9:03 a.m. A woman requested an officer to go through her son’s stuff to see if anything was stolen. The officer was not her son.

12:01 p.m. A man on Mahoney Rd. found a brief case in the woods behind his house.

3:14 p.m. Someone on Kootenai River Rd. reported getting scam calls from foreign talking individuals.
