Apple & Spice Pork Roast

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

Ingredients:

3-4 pound boneless pork roast

1 cup apple sauce

1/3 packed cup brown sugar

2 teaspoon vinegar

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 tablespoon flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon sugar

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

 

Directions:

  1. Mix: applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and cloves– refrigerate one half.

2.Mix: flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder, and pepper. Firmly rub pork with this mixture.

  1. Roast pork until internal temp. is equal to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and spoon unrefrigerated applesauce mix over roast. Roast until internal temp. is equal to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. (about 1 1/2 hours)
  2. Transfer roast to serving plate and cover with foil. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Boil remaining applesauce mixture for one minute and spoon over pork slices.
