Apple & Spice Pork Roast
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
3-4 pound boneless pork roast
1 cup apple sauce
1/3 packed cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Mix: applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and cloves– refrigerate one half.
2.Mix: flour, salt, sugar, garlic powder, and pepper. Firmly rub pork with this mixture.
- Roast pork until internal temp. is equal to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and spoon unrefrigerated applesauce mix over roast. Roast until internal temp. is equal to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. (about 1 1/2 hours)
- Transfer roast to serving plate and cover with foil. Let stand for 15 minutes.
- Boil remaining applesauce mixture for one minute and spoon over pork slices.
