Libby Schools are pleased to announce the four candidates to be interviewed for the Libby Elementary Principal position that was opened with the resignation of long time principal Ron Goodman. The position will be for the 2018-2019 school year.
Lynne Peterson – Lynne is currently the Superintendent/HS Principal at Savage Schools in Eastern Montana. Before moving to Savage she was third grade teacher in Rowland Hall Elementary in Salt Lake City, Utah. She began her educational career as an elementary teacher in Red Lodge in 1984.
Kaide Dodson – Kaide is currently the Assistant Principal at Libby Elementary School. She spent three years previously as the district’s Curriculum/Special Education/Federal Programs director. Before returning to Libby, she was an assistant principal at the Quest Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada. She started her career as an English & Art teacher in Crescent City, California in 2004.
Thad Kaiser – Thad is currently the Superintendent/Principal at Noxon Schools. Before Noxon he spent three years in Chester as the Superintendent/Principal. His administrative experience began as an Principal/Athletic Director in the Sun River Valley School District from 2007-2013. Thad started as a middle school teacher at the St. Labre School in Ashland, Montana.
Beth Stevenson – Beth serves as an Assistant Principal in a middle school at Hampstead, New Hampshire. She had a similar position in Winchester, New Hampshire. Her career began as a middle school and sixth grade teacher in New Hampshire.
Each candidate will spend part of the day interviewing and visiting in the elementary. Interviews with the Libby School Board will be Monday and Tuesday at 4:00 and 5:15 at the KW Maki Theater.
