Local choirs directed by Braun sweep area competition

The Libby Middle School (MS) Choir, MS Honors Choir which is made up of a subset of the MS Choir students, and the Libby Children’s Select Choir made a huge sweep of all possible wins at the Music in the Parks festival/ competition held on Saturday, May 18 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

All three of Director Lorraine Braun’s choirs came home with first place in their respective categories.

In addition, the MS Honors Choir received the overall choral award and the Children’s Choir received the coveted Esprit de Corps award.

Seventh  grader Jake Newton received a medal for best MS/JH vocal soloist, and third grader Hadleigh Wood received best vocal soloist for elementary.
