2020
Turkey Dash

The 6th annual Turkey Dash is on!  Things will be different this year, as everything is.  One thing that isn’t changing is helping our community.  Even apart, we will be together sharing the great outdoors and helping our neighbors.

The Turkey Dash 5k fun run will be at J Neils Park, Saturday, November 21,  at 10 a.m.  This year our proceeds will be split between the Libby Food Pantry and the Kootenai Kiwanis – Koats 4 Kids.

Another thing not changing is the registration fee.  We still have the early run/walker registration discount until November 13.  Early registration fee for adults is $25, $20 for kids 12 and under.  Anyone can register on race day.

Run/walk Registrations can be picked up at Pure North Athletic Center and on Facebook or they can be mailed to you by contacting Dani at 291-7076.We ask that you please wear your mask (except when you are running) and keep your 6 foot distance from non-family members.  If you would like to be a sponsor for this worthwhile cause, please contact Terry at 293-8099.

Mandatory wolf
trapping classes

Mandatory wolf trapping classes will be offered online

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will offer two online wolf trapping certification classes in November.

The free online classes are set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Nov. 14 and 21. The classes are identical, and trappers must complete only one of them. To register for the classes, please browse to the FWP website at FWP.MT.GOV and follow the links to “Education” and “Wolf Trapper Education & Certification.”

Because of current COVID-19 restrictions, FWP will offer no in-person classes this fall. The two classes will be online via ZOOM. Students will be sent the ZOOM address for the classes when they register.
