Loggers golf season begins

The Libby Highschool Golf team started their season at the Columbia Falls Invitational on Wednesday, August 15. The Loggers added five new players to the team and had a great experience on the difficult Meadow Lake Golf Course. I feel this will be the most difficult course the kids play all year. I am proud of all of their efforts.

The girls team had a great showing finishing in third place, just ten shots out of first. The team includes Sammee Bradeen, Allie Snyder, Sydney Croucher, Emily Carvey, and Kayley Svendsbye. Many of the players spent a good deal of time on the course this summer and it pays off in competition. We had four girls finish in the top 15 which shows the strength of our team.

The boys finished eighth place at the tournament. The boys team includes Trey Thompson, Alex Svendsbye, Keilen Rausch, Landon Haddock, and Eric Vinion.

The team will travel to East Glacier for the Browning  Invitational August 28.  The teams goal is to drop a few shots each  tournament.
