The public is encouraged to come show their support at the Sheena Rose Devine Memorial March and presentation that will be held on Friday, Oct. 5 from 7 until 9 p.m. starting in front of the Libby Police department.
The event will be sponsored by the Advocacy Center which hosts the only domestic violence support group in Libby.
According to Lynette Haines, who has helped plan the Memorial March, “This is for the next girl. The first step is stepping up, and we help survivors. We want to make sure that the next victim doesn’t fall through the cracks.”
Angel Ford who also volunteers for the cause said, “We’re just here to help.”
The Advocacy Center’s domestic violence support group is held on Mondays from 6 until 7 p.m. at MT Rose Counseling.
Check out their Facebook page for more information or contact 291-7828.
They are also planning a bingo fundraiser that will be held at Simple Simon’s Pizza on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
