Tester visits Libby manufacturer

On Friday July 27, Montana Senator Jon Tester visited Alpine Precision specialty fabricating company in Libby to observe firsthand how a small company can thrive and make a difference in rural Montana.

“We have been talking to communities across the state about infrastructure, natural gas pipelines, and telecommunications, specifically broadband access,” Senator Tester told The Montanian. “We’ve already been to all the majors (cities) and now we are focusing on the smaller towns.”

After leaving Libby, Tester and his staff were headed to Thompson Falls.

“Senator Tester was here discussing the need for natural gas, broadband internet and mental health issues,” said Lincoln County Commissioner, Mark Peck.

Alpine  Precision is a high tech manufacturing company which fabricates parts and tools for the aerospace, defense, semiconductor and firearm industries.
