Summer may be upon us, but Jr. High and High School students wrapped up the year and showcased their talent on Tuesday May 29 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Troy High School. A variety of skills lit up the stage as six different acts competed in the annual Talent Show put on by Music Director Mrs. Hand.
The judging panel was a group of four teachers, and the evening’s hosts were Emma Johnson and Alaiyah Rogers. Performances included: Regina Miller- flute, Emma Anderson- vocal/guitar solo, Audrey Evans- vocal solo, Bradly Gannon- piano solo, Chloe Yeadon and Skye Shelmerdine- tenor sax and bass clarinet duet, and Laura Guinard- digital art. Each student received 100 Grand (a candy bar) for their part in the program.
First second and third place prizes were also awarded $20, $15, and $10 gift certificates to R-Place. Mrs. Hand likes to support the local economy when awarding prizes and her students can easily go use them to celebrate their hard work.
The winners were: 3rd place- Laura Guinard, 2nd place- Emma Anderson, and 1st place- Bradley Gannon.
