Governor’s Proclamation
I hereby order all flags flown in the State of Montana to be flown at
half-staff on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 to honor the memory of Trenton Johnson, Brent Witham, and all the wildland firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty.
On this the 68th anniversary of the Mann Gulch Fire, we remember the courage and sacrifice of all the men and women who have lost their lives fighting wildfires to protect the people of Montana.
