On Thursday evening, May 2, Libby Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at 221 W 9th Street in downtown Libby.  The fire was extinguished and the building, although damaged, was not a total loss. Reportedly, no one was hurt in the incident.

The building was a home to Moody’s Dirty Laundry and Self Dog Wash, Pinup Girls Salon & Massage, and a store with guns and ammunition, which thankfully, did not catch on fire.

According to a Facebook post by Moody’s Dirty Laundry and Self Dog Wash on Saturday evening, “Kim and I (Jay Moody) would like to thank everybody who has expressed their condolences and offered to help. We will start to rebuild as soon as we can. In the mean time for sewing or dry cleaning services call me at 291-1609.”

Pinup Girls Salon & Massage made a similar Facebook post on Saturday thanking everyone for their well wishes and their  support following the fire damage to their building. According to Kim Moody, she and Alicia Ballestoroz will be working over at Clip Art Salon, located on Idaho Ave. temporarily. Brian Wilson LMT had not found temporary home yet.
