Ryggs wins state 4 years straight

During the last weekend of September, Hamilton Golf Club hosted the State A golf tournament. Libby’s Ryggs Johnston participated as a Logger and as he did for the past three years, won it again.

Johnston scored 67, then 70 for a two-day total of 137, winning by eight strokes. Four golfers tied for second place with scores of 145.

The win marks Johnston’s fourth and final state title to start out his senior year of high school and close out his high school golf career.

Next year, Johnston will be attending Arizona State University on a golf scholarship.
