9:26 a.m. A traveling male called to advise officers of a “humongous” black bear on the highway. The man was afraid of nature’s bearicade. It was hardly bearable.

Friday, July 5

2:47 a.m. A frightened woman called about a bat inside her home. It was a bat too much for her to handle in the dark.

1:40 p.m. A woman called to report a lose dog chasing deer in her neighborhood. She wasn’t very fawned of the canine but was pawsitive the police would help.
