Free guided winter hikes available with Montana Wilderness Association

Montana Wilderness Association will offer hikes and educational opportunities across northwest Montana that are free and open to the public this winter. On Saturday, Jan. 20 they will host an avalanche awareness snowshoe at Flatiron Mountain out of Libby, and on Saturday, March 10, they will host a Ross Creek Cedars Snowshoe with Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness out of the Troy/Noxon area. Additional hikes are scheduled in Columbia Falls on Jan. 13 and Feb. 24, in Condon on Jan. 27, and in Whitefish on March 3.
