Nine hearty folks enjoyed a day of animal tracking and sign interpretation sponsored by Silver Cloud Associates and Friends of Scotchman Peaks on Saturday, Jan. 20. De-spite poor tracking conditions, the group found tracks and signs of mink, otter, striped skunk, raven, snowshoe hare, pileated woodpecker, pine squirrel, and white-tailed deer. They also spotted bufflehead ducks, tundra swans, bald eagles, and a muskrat swimming. A good time was had by all in attendance.
