The best free-throw shooters in the state converged this past weekend in Livingston for the Elk’s state hoop shoot contest. Over 5,000 kids in Montana competed this year, and of those, only 15 boys made it to the state competition; two were from Libby. Zachary Fantozzi took second place sinking 22 of 25 free throws in the 12-13 year old age group. Ryan Beagle took third place making 19 of his 25 free throws in the 10-11 year old age group. Both young Libby athletes brought home trophies for their success performing in the top echelon of Montana athletes.
