The day started out with some great professional development for all staff by Alex Kajitani from the Harry and Rosemary Wong organization. He was great and a nice start to the year. The focus of his presentation was on relationships with students which are key to their success.

The day ended with a great turnout for Open House. Thank you to all who attended and thank you to all those organizations who set up booths to support the Troy students and community.

Winners of Daniel Mistard’s beautiful ‘Cabin on the Creek’ painting and the ‘Sir Galahad’ fiber art wall hanging, both created at Washington State Penitentiary, were drawn at the Libby Vendor Market on Wednesday the 31st.

The artworks were part of a two-month silent auction and raffle that helped Bears ‘n Stuff raise funds for local charities.  Painting winner, Doctor Sterling Rehl, entered his winning bid at the Libby Farmer’s Market while Hunter Muzi bought his winning raffle ticket at the Lincoln County Pride Festival.

Bears ‘n Stuff will soon put on display new works of art donated by the Helping Hands guys over in Walla Walla.  You will be able to get a look at photos and information about where you can see and bid on these at the Bears ‘n Stuff Facebook page.  You can get general information about the program by calling or texting 406 293-9630.
