Substance dependency help

In January of 2018, Western Montana Mental Health Center closed its doors and left their Libby staff as well as over 100 clients with few alternatives. This was nearly a year and a half ago, but now the agency is back offering substance dependency services on a limited basis.

It was mentioned at the Wednesday, May 15 commissioner’s meeting by Western Montana Mental Health’s CEO, Levi Anderson, that the company will offer anti-dependency services at the previously closed property located off Highway 2, south of Libby, near the Heritage Museum. The company has, so far, hired one person who will handle dependency cases.

Other mental health services are on the platter of things being considered by the agency, he said. However, a time frame for when those services will be offered was not mentioned at the meeting.

For more information about the center and services to be offered, call the Western Montana Mental Health Center at 293-8746.
