Saturday, July 29
12:22 a.m. Someone called to report what sounded like racing on the highway. The caller was driven by concern for public safety and the vehicles were driven fast.
6:58 a.m. Someone on 3rd Street reported hearing a loud pop and then realizing that a planter box on the porch was ablaze put out with a fire extinguisher. The experience reminded the caller to follow fire restrictions and never be led ashtray.
4:44 p.m. Two dogs jumped out of a vehicle after a deer near the Libby hospital. They were going mutts.
8:51 p.m. Someone reported possible sex trafficking in the Libby area.
10:34 p.m. A suspicious dark colored Blazer was in a creek bed collecting rocks. The caller reporting the vehicle may have been making a mountain out of a mole hill, but you can’t take safety for granite.
Sunday, July 30
12:40 p.m. Someone reported being hit by a boat on Lower Thompson Lake while kayaking.
12:42 p.m. A woman advised officers that she was hit in the face at a bar last night.
Monday, July 31
1:04 p.m. A mad Libby woman threw a board at a man taking off from the trailer court in a SUV.
Wednesday, August 2
11:22 a.m. A deer was stuck in the fence on County Shop Road but it was gone when authorities responded. They had no eye deer where it went.
12:26 p.m. Someone called 911 because a man on 6th Street took off on foot with his baby. Officers promptly caught up with him and advised him to obtain a parenting plan.
1:24 p.m. Lost hikers on Goat Mountain called 911. They were found and escorted to their car.
6:29 p.m. Chickens were residing in city Limits near 1st street. A caller wanted them evicted but thought they might balk at the idea. They were breaking the law though, so the chickens were out of cluck.
10:29 p.m. Officers stopped someone and issued a warning not to walk on the highway. The person refused a ride. In the patrol car.
10:53 p.m. A fast food restaurant employee called 911 to report a man smelling of pot and alcohol, throwing up in the parking lot, and then driving off toward Kalispell.
Thursday, August 3
8:16 a.m. A man on Montana Avenue called 911 to report that a large pit bull charged him and then ran off.
8:33 a.m. A Libby Creek Rd. resident reported someone shooting pellets or BBs at his residence last night and he now has a knick in his windshield.
4:23 p.m. A vehicle was abandoned in someone’s driveway on Yaak River Rd.
5:48 p.m. A trailer court resident reported a neighbor taking a transmission from his property without permission.
